Women will also learn ways to disguise hair loss with wigs, scarves and other accessories. All sessions are held Mondays February 13th, April 9th & June 11th, 12:00 - 2:00pm.

To register, please contact the H.R. Hoover MD Cancer Center at 503.435.6590

The program is made possible though the partnership of the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council, the National Cosmetology Association and the Professional Beauty Association.

Tar Wars
With the collaboration of the MHS Health Occupations Class, we have provided an outreach activities program for elementary students called, "Tar Wars." We use tools like a poster of a hairy "smoker's tongue," visual aids like pig lungs to convey health versus diseased organs and a "jar of tar" to illustrate the physical damage to the body.

McMinnville High School's Health Occupation students present information on tobacco costs, peer pressure issues, short versus long-term effects and other topics on spreading our anti-smoking message. Since we have a large amount of cases diagnosed at the Cancer Center that are lung cancer, we want to protect our children now by educating them about the dangers of smoking.

If your school is interested in learning more about this program, please call Kelly McGraw at the Foundation. 503-435-6592.
