The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation believes in making quality of life matter. Our mission is “to foster hope through the support of cancer patients, education and prevention.”
Since 2002, we have provided over $900,000 in critical, non-medical assistance to approximately 650 low-income cancer patients residing in Yamhill, Lincoln and Tillamook counties. The Foundation also provides educational programs to local school districts free of charge. Since 2004, these programs have taught more than 1,700 elementary school children about the dangers of preventable cancers.
If you’ve ever been close to anyone diagnosed with cancer, you know that the diagnosis can change lives in a matter of seconds. A battle with cancer can put a financial, physical and emotional strain on a patient and their families. Your community-based Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation assists low-income patients and their families during this time of crisis. We provide numerous support services to cancer patients currently undergoing treatment. Support for local cancer patients includes the following services:
